P2 (2007) Quick Review
P2 (2007) Dir. by Franck Khalfoun
A businesswoman is pursued by a psychopath after being locked in a parking garage on Christmas Eve.
First time director Franck Khalfoun really created quite a flop with this movie. I really like Wes Bently, but he rarely uses his full acting ability, and Rachel Nichols is a very attractive girl, but this movie was just boring. I couldn't help but feel like the movie would have been better as a twenty minute short. The story just didn't have enough depth to span a full feature movie. Wes Bently does a slightly above mediocre job as the psycho, but let's be honest, he looks like a psycho to begin with. I do think it is hilarious that both of his parents are ministers, and he looks so damn evil. There honestly isn't a whole lot I can say about this movie. It was just an epic fail on many levels.

For shame! P2 is a great movie. You have to give props to someone for making a movie set in a parking garage at least somewhat interesting... I mean, a big open empty space? Where's the scare in that? But I felt they changed it up enough to make it a really enjoyable movie.
like I said, it would have been a great short movie
Half the movie was fillers. This is the second time I have seen it. I just wanted to make sure it wasn't better the second time, and it wasn't. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though. If they weren't then Uwe Boll would be out of a job.
I must admit, I really dug this one man. It's one of those movies that I like just because it is so darn simple. The premise doesn't really lend itself to too many random events with only a couple actual characters and a confined setting, and it seems like the filmmakers knew to just keep it simple and let it roll.
But hey, I can see how the other argument can be made too. Hence, the internet exists!
What a shame, parking garages, especially when your alone, are oh so creepy...too bad this fell flat

I'm-a have to go the other way on this one, man. I enjoy it as a sort of an early-December, pre-Christmas warm-up for my reeeeal Xmas horror binge. I'll agree it's not by any means perfect, and it sure as hell ain't heart, but it appeals to the lowest common denominator "thriller" fan in me, and there's enough of Rachel Nichols' moist cleavage and Wes Bentley's "aw shucks" nice guy/screaming psychopath routine to keep me entertained throughout. My biggest fault with the film is when Bentley ices that other security guard, and you never see it happen. Such a wasted opportunity in a movie with strictly-limited kill potential to begin with.
...and by "heart" I meant art, as in "it sure as hell ain't ART." Dammit.
